なぜ？
背景をバッジと同じ赤にします。バッジの色を特定するのは簡単ですが、話はそう単純ではありません。壁紙の色をバッジと同じにするだけでは不可能です。
iOSは（も？）壁紙の色をそれほど忠実に反映するわけではありません。設定後の色をバッジと同じにするためにちょうどよく違う色で作るというトリックです。
iOS 12ではバッジの色に変更がありました。11以前よりも明るい赤になっています。バッテリーの残量が20%以下になった時の赤もまったく同じ色です。
