色がつく仕組み
設定でアクセシビリティの透明度を下げるをオンにすると、ホーム画面とロック画面の半透過UIエレメントは不透明になって背景全体を反映した均一な色になります。アベレージで彩度が高ければ、彩度の低い場所にある着色されたエレメントは目立つという仕組みです。色の濃さはパーツによって若干異なり、ロック画面のボタンには色がつきません。
この壁紙では黒い部分を狭くすることで派手さ控えめな色で成立させています。ドック部分のりんごはベゼルに溶け込む黒で色の干渉もありません。りんごマークはウィキペディアのAppleページからパブリックドメインの画像を使用しました。白いバリエーションは黒との輝度差が最大になるのを避けて僅かに暗くしてあります。ほんの僅か、文字が黒くなるぎりぎりの明るさです。
超縦長フォーマット
iPhoneでは高品質フォーマットのWebP、PNG画像を壁紙にしたときの表示位置はまちまち、加えてiOS 17以降ではピンチ操作で画面上部がぼかされます。これを防ぐには画面よりも縦長の画像を上にスワイプするしかありません。そのための超縦長フォーマットです。
この設定方法によってレイアウトは必ず下揃えになります。フルスクリーンモデルとホームボタンモデルではアスペクトが大きく異なりますが、下基準でどちらでも成立するデザインにすることは可能です。
How Colors Work
When you turn on Reduce Transparency in the Settings under Accessibility, semi-transparent UI elements on the Home and Lock screens become opaque, reflecting a uniform color based on the entire background. If the background has a high average saturation, UI elements placed in lower-saturation areas will stand out. The color intensity varies slightly between elements, and the Lock Screen buttons are not affected by color.
This wallpaper uses narrow black areas to make the deep yet slightly subdued colors work. The apple in the Dock background is black, blending into the bezel, with no color interference. The apple symbol is a public domain image from the Apple page on Wikipedia. The white variation is slightly darkened to avoid the maximum contrast with black. Just slightly—it’s at the threshold where the text would turn black.
Very Vertical Format
On the iPhone, high-quality format WebP and PNG images are displayed in different positions when used as wallpaper, and in addition, the top of the screen is blurred by pinch operation on iOS 17 or later. The only way to prevent this is to swipe up on an image that is more vertical than the screen. This is a very vertical format for this purpose.
The layout is always bottom-aligned by this setting method. The aspect is very different between the full-screen and Home button models, but it is possible to create a design that is viable in either based on the bottom of the screen.
