iOS 26.3ではドックが暗くなる条件に変更があります。基本的にデフォルトとライトモードの組み合わせ以外では暗くなります。

ただし、ホーム画面カスタマイズでダークを選択しても自動・ライトモードの組み合わせでは、ダークが無効になってデフォルトと完全に同じ見た目になります。

これはiOS 26.0ベータ1に近い挙動です。ややこしさが増していますが、少しずつ整理しようとしているような気はします。ここまで複雑化したUIを分かりやすく作り直すのは考えただけで途方に暮れてしまいます。

また、SEではドックのリキッドグラス効果が固定されました。この世代で少し動いていた方が無理がかかっていたのでしょう。

ドックを隠す壁紙の設定変更についてはNotesに。

iOS 26.3 introduces changes to the conditions under which the Dock darkens. Basically, it darkens in all combinations except for the Default and Light Mode pairing.

However, even if you select Dark in Home Screen customization, when combined with Auto and Light Mode, Dark becomes disabled and the appearance becomes completely identical to the Default.

This behavior is similar to iOS 26.0 beta 1. While it’s becoming more confusing, it does feel like they’re trying to gradually organize things. Just thinking about redesigning such a complex UI to make it more understandable is enough to make one feel overwhelmed.

Additionally, on the SE, the Liquid Glass effect of the Dock has been fixed in place. Having it move slightly on this generation was probably putting undue strain on the system.

時計の透明度調節

ロック画面の時計の透明度を調節できるオプションが追加されました。
ロック画面のカスタマイズで時計をタップしてガラスかソリッドを選択、ガラスは無段階調節可能です。

ソリッドからガラスに戻すと透明度は初期状態になります。

透明度を下げるの変更

透明度を下げるをオンにした時のドックの色が変わりました。その周辺の色をうっすら拾うようになっています。これはこれで、逆に透明ですよねえ。

バージョンごとにドックは暗くなっています。ドックを隠す黒い壁紙にはアップデートバージョンがあります。

追記：

リキッドグラスの調整と「透明度を下げる」「コントラストを上げる」の併用ができなくなりました。

Clock Opacity Adjustment

An option to adjust the Lock Screen clock’s opacity is now available.
In the Lock Screen customization view, tap the clock and choose Glass or Solid. Glass allows continuous, fine-grained adjustment.

Switching from Solid back to Glass resets the opacity to its default level.

Changes in Reduce Transparency

When you turn on Reduce Transparency, the Dock color has changed. It now picks up a faint tint from the surrounding area. In a way, that makes it feel even more transparent, doesn’t it?

The Dock has been darkened with each version. If you’re using a black wallpaper to hide the Dock, there’s an updated version available.

Update:

Liquid Glass adjustments can no longer be used together with Reduce Transparency or Increase Contrast.

ホーム画面とロック画面についての変更点は3つ。設定によるドックの色、リキッドグラスの調整が追加、透明度を下げるのUIカラーです。

ドックの色

iOS 26.0ではシステム全体のライト・ダークモードで決まっていましたが、これにホーム画面のカスタマイズが絡んできます。
ドックが明るくなるのは次の1か2のどちらか。

デフォルト＋ライトモード
ダーク＋ライトモード

それ以外の全ての組み合わせでドックは暗くなります。
また、透明度を下げたときのドックの色が若干暗くなりました。

リキッドグラスの調節

リキッドグラスUIの一部の透明度を下げて、若干透ける白や黒にできます。
ホーム画面には影響しません。
例えばロック画面の通知カードはライトモードだと白、ダークモードでは黒。それに伴い通知が出ている間も壁紙は暗くなりません。

透明度を下げるやコントラストを上げるなどがオンになっていると変更できませんが、無効になるわけではありません。

透明度を下げるのUIカラー

ホーム画面のドックやフォルダ、ロック画面の通知やボタンなどの色の拾い方が変わりました。背景全体でも特定の場所でもなく、直接の背景の色をうっすらと拾います。像は不透明なままですが、色は半透明になりました。

Home and Lock Screen changes include three updates: Dock color behavior, Liquid Glass adjustment, and the new UI color with Reduce Transparency.

Dock Color

In iOS 26.1, Dock color now depends not only on system mode but also on Home Screen customization.
It becomes lighter only in these two cases:

Default + Light Mode
Dark + Light Mode

All other combinations make it darker.
The Dock also appears slightly dimmer when Reduce Transparency is on.

Liquid Glass Adjustment

The transparency of certain parts of the Liquid Glass UI can now be lowered for a soft white or black frosted look.
It doesn’t affect the Home Screen.
For example, on the Lock Screen, notification cards turn white in Light Mode and black in Dark Mode, while keeping the wallpaper bright beneath them.

When Reduce Transparency or Increase Contrast is on, you can’t switch modes—but the effect remains active once applied.

Reduce Transparency UI Color

Dock, folders, and Lock Screen elements now pick up color faintly from their immediate background.
Shapes stay opaque, but colors have become semi-transparent.

壁紙の設定方法は➜ 壁紙設定マップをご覧ください。大刷新されています。

追記 1：壁紙のズームイン効果は完全に廃止されました。
追記 2：アップデートの時に壁紙が下にズレます。一度他の壁紙を設定してから元の壁紙に戻さないと、そのまま上にスワイプすると必ず上部がぼかされます。
追記 3：ロック解除の時の壁紙が緩やかにホーム画面の壁紙に変わる効果が廃止されました。開き切った瞬間にホーム画面に切り替わります。
追記 4：常に画面オンにオプションが追加されて、スリープ中はデフォルトで壁紙がぼかされるようになりました。

リキッドグラス

リキッドグラスデザインでロック画面とホーム画面の見た目が変わります。透明感と光学的な歪みが特徴で綺麗な感じ。

時計やウィジェットのカスタマイズ性も上がりました。ボタンの位置も変わっています。

ホーム画面カスタマイズ

カスタマイズモードはデフォルト（ライト）・ダーク・色合い調整にクリアが加わって4種類になりました。

iOS 26では壁紙を明るく設定しても必ず少し暗くなります。リキッドグラスのハイライトをつけるためには背景が明る過ぎてはいけないのでしょう。

壁紙とカスタマイズのバグ

壁紙の上部にぼかしについて、ぼかしが現れる現れない、消せる消せないの基準がめちゃくちゃ。同じサイズでも絵柄で違う。
有機EL画面のiPhoneでスクリーンショットを撮るとドック、フォルダ、ボタンなどの色が違っている。
ホーム画面のカスタマイズをするとドックの色はその時だけカスタマイズに従うが、画面を切り替えるとライト/ダークモードに従ったものに落ち着く。
ホーム画面カスタマイズの色合い調整でケースを付けずに？ケースカラーを選択してからスライダーを動かすとアイコンの絵柄が消える。再起動しても直らずしばらく待つしかない。
あとバグではないけれど、ホーム画面カスタマイズでダークを選択した時に「常に」だと背景が暗くなり「自動」だとダークモードかライトモードかに関係なく（アイコンやドックの明るさに関係なく）明るくなるのはデザイン的には意味不明。

といったところでしょうか。まだまだ何かと不安定で未完成な印象です。見た目の刷新とバグの少ないOSという開発前の謳い文句は壁紙については達成されていません。来年からの作業に期待です。

Wallpaper setup ➜ See the Wallpaper Setup Map. It has been completely overhauled.

Update Note 1: The wallpaper zoom-in effect has been completely removed.
Update Note 2: After updating, the wallpaper shifts downward. If you don’t set a different wallpaper once and then return to the original, swiping up will always blur the top area.
Update Note 3: The effect where the Lock Screen wallpaper would gradually transition into the Home Screen wallpaper has been removed. Now it switches to the Home Screen the moment the device is fully unlocked.
Update Note 4: One option has been added to Always On Display, and by default the wallpaper is blurred while the device is asleep.

Liquid Glass

The Liquid Glass design changes the appearance of the Lock Screen and Home Screen. It is characterized by a sense of translucency and optical distortion, giving a clean, attractive look.

Along with this, the colors of the Dock, folders, buttons, and notifications have changed. The layouts of the Lock Screen and the Zoom Display have also been updated.

Lock Screen

On iPhone 12 and later, a spatial scene that gives Lock Screen wallpapers a pseudo-3D effect has been added. A button is shown on wallpapers the iPhone determines are compatible. (Creepy…)

Clock and widget customization have also been improved. Button placement has changed.

Home Screen Customization

Customization modes are Default (Light), Dark, and Tint adjustment — Clear has been added, making four modes in total.

In iOS 26, even if you set the wallpaper to be bright, it will always be slightly darkened. It seems the background must not be too bright for the Liquid Glass highlights to work.

Wallpaper and Customize Bugs

Regarding the top blur on wallpapers: the rules for whether the blur appears or can be removed are chaotic. Even at the same size, the result varies depending on the image.
On OLED iPhones, screenshots show different colors for the Dock, folders, buttons, and so on.
When customizing the Home Screen, the Dock color follows the customization only temporarily; when you switch screens it settles back to the version determined by Light/Dark Mode.
In Home Screen customization under Tinted, if you select Case Color without attaching a case? and then move the slider, the icon graphics will disappear. Restarting won’t fix it — you’ll have to wait for it to recover.
Not a bug per se, but when Dark is selected in Home Screen customization: with “Always” the background becomes dark, while with “Automatic” the background becomes bright regardless of whether Dark or Light Mode is active (and regardless of icon or Dock brightness). From a design standpoint this makes no sense.

That’s about it. The overall impression remains one of instability and incompleteness. The pre-release promise of a refreshed look and a less buggy OS has not been achieved for wallpapers. I look forward to work beginning next year.
